Bolesno Grinje come from town of Pula that I mention and praise a lot on this blog. They play brutal grind/crust punk, growling vocals done by Angeri (ex Spiridon Mekas Crust or S.M.C. band) and the rest of the bands line-up also has impressive credentials cos they were in bands like Anti Otpad, Desinence Mortification and Screaming Vagina (all from Pula). If you like them you can find their “-1 Mozak” EP on Monte Paradiso Netlabel, as well as stuff from the previous bands of Bolesno Grinje’s members. They also have a Bolesno Grinje MySpace page with more info about them so check it out. Excellent band with excellent people in it!

SAWN OFF [2000] Sawn Off

I bought this one from Vedran M. (Humanita Nova distro/label). Sawn Off are a band from UK that played during 1996-2001 period. They play fast, angry, short songs that will hit you in the head and guts like a ton of bricks. If that's not enough of a recommendation, then just look at this releases cover which is a nice picture of young Michael Caine from his ''Get Carter'' movie made in 1971. P.A.I.N.

Thanx to introducing me to P.A.I.N. go to Tomislav V. (AKA Vrx) and Domagoj Š. (who sadly died in India in 2005). P.A.I.N. is an acronym for Propaganda And Information Network. This punk/reggae band was formed by members of Radical Dance Faction (Phil, Dan & Ozzy) and AOS3 (John) (hence my previous two posts). The best from those two bands got merged into P.A.I.N., for me personally one of the best bands I've ever heard. They're on Top 5 list of my favourite bands of all times! I saw them live at Močvara club in Zagreb in 2006 and it was one of the best gigs I've ever been to. The cover for ''Oh My God! We Are Doing It!'' was taken from a comic book called ''Breaking Free'' which is about Tin Tin being a revolutionary kid from a working class who gets involved in a strike, clashes with the police, and finally participates in a revolution! Good read if you can get it somehow. I didn't scan the covers of their ''Dub Ska Punk'' EP/MCD when I ripped it, sorry for that! AOS3 [1993] Gods Secret Agent

AOS3 is a punk/ska/reggae/dub band from Sunderland which was formed in 1990. They released two albums, ''Gods Secret Agent'' on Words Of Warning and ''Diversionary Tactics'' in 1995 for Inna State Records. They broke up in 1994, but have reformed in 2007 and they are gigging around so check them out if they're playing near you. They have their AOS3 official web site that has all the info on the band you could possibly want and an AOS3 MySpace page.

Radical Dance Faction

R.D.F. started playing back in 1986. They came from Hungerford in UK. When they begun playing they were called Military Surplus and you can find one of their tracks on the ''Stonehenge'' EP released by Bluurg Records and also reissued on ''Bluurg Records EP's 82-88'' (by the way, an excellent release, get it if you can!). R.D.F. are a great band that got me into punk/dub sort of music, they have a dark, almost suicidally depressive atmosphere but there's always a feeling of hope, of the light at the end of a tunnel feeling to it. Don't know, maybe all this sounds too poetic, I always have a problem in describing music I like and slotting it into certain genre. Since their split, various members have played in bands such as the Revolutionary Dub Warriors, P.A.I.N., DF118, The Wonder Stuff, The Rhythmites, and Dub The Earth. ''Borderline Cases'' is their first CD release (they had two tape releases before that), ''Wasteland'' is the second, with a cover done by Gee Vaucher who designed covers for Crass and I added the poster Gee did and which was planned to be used for future R.D.F.'s album covers, the ''Wasteland'' being part one of, I think, three. Unfortunately they never came out cos the band split up. ''Raggamuffin Statement'' is a compilation of R.D.F.'s stuff from different compilations etc. You can learn more about them from an article on Wikipedia about R.D.F. and a R.D.F.’s MySpace fan page.

CHAOS U.K. + RAW NOISE [1993] Making A Killing (split CD)

Split CD from legendary Chaos U.K. (just like Disorder I first saw/learned about them from the ''UK/DK'' movie) and Raw Noise. LP version was released in 1992 and this CD in 1993 (if I figured it out correctly). MERE DEAD MEN [1995] Carry On...

I've bought this CD from Sandro of Živjela Komercijala zine/distro on some gig cos I was drunk and MDM's picture on the CD cover looked funny at the time, and I thought they could sound something like Vice Squad. They didn't, but I wasn't disappointed cos MDM play very good punk with female vocals (MDM's singer Mandy used to be in a band called The Iconoclasts). I have to admit that I don't know much about this band but I know they formed back in 1985 and are from Liverpool. For more info go to MDM's MySpace page.

Oi Polloi

I'm again at a loss with words cos Oi Polloi are a band that influenced me greatly. I bought their ''In Defence Of Our Earth'' LP which came out back in 1990 on Words Of Warning and it got me thinking about the subjects I value so much today. That LP talked about environment, anti-fascism, anarchy etc. in such an interesting and intense way that I think it's one of my favorite albums of all time. I still listen to it, not few times a day like I used to, but it's good to hear it from time to time. I remember trying to translate the recipe for an ''Anarcho-Pie'' from the booklet and making my own ''Feel The Earth Power'' t-shirt by photocopying and enlarging the picture from the booklet, then transferring it on the t-shirt with the help of indigo paper and finally coloring it with black paint. Looked pretty cool, especially when I used to get drunk like a pig and spent the rest of the evening hugging the floor. I guess I was feeling that Earth power!? This is a Nikt Nic Nie Wie CD reissue of ''In Defence Of Our Earth'', and I've added a bonus track that was on a LP and a cassette versions I've got. ''Six Of The Best'' is a Rugger Bugger release, a great collection of Oi Polloi's 7''.If anyone's wondering what Oi Polloi means here's the explanation from Wikipedia of the term Hoi Polloi from which our Scottish punkers got their name: ''Hoi polloi (Greek: οί πολλοί), an expression meaning "the many" in Greek is used in English to denote "the masses" or "the people", usually in a derogatory sense. For example, "I've secured a private box for the play so we don't have to watch the show with hoi polloi." Hello to everybody!
I've finally managed to upload all of my previous posts to ADrive, so I can now start with new uploads. And to break the monotony in design of this blog, I'll be trying out this "new look" (changed the font, but I'll comfort myself that it was some complicated design work I had to do :-)).

Been doing some maintenance work...

Hi to all!

If you've noticed that there are no new posts for some time now, it's because I've been doing some work on this blog, mainly I've been trying to upload all the stuff I've posted until now to ADrive, cos of Div$$$hare's new policy for free accounts. You can check my "Possible problems with Divshare" post for more details...
While uploading I've been spending quality time by hanging out at this next few blogs:
CORPUS DELICTI - interesting blog for people who want hard to get stuff from Ex-Yugoslavia. It's done by Kktz who is a living encyclopedia of bands, zines and people who participated in the punk/hardcore/alternative scene. Well worth checking out!
AUDIO HEAVEN - done by a guy called Alex, this is a treasure chest of a blog. He says he is a metal head, but I think that everyone can find something there. For me personally the most interesting are his posts/uploads about bands from Pula (Pula is Punk!!!), the town with in my opinion the best punk/HC scene in Croatia.
7inchcrust - no need for introduction here since I've seen links to this blog on almost every blog I've visited. And for a good reason. Excellent releases, well written infos, what's more to say then check this one out if you haven't already!
RÖCKIN' NÖIZ - done by my friend Malisha. Also a very good blog, excellent releases, and since he is a bit of a perfectionist, you can be sure that the stuff you download from him will be properly ripped and tagged. Cheers to him!
PEACE OR ANNIHILATION - another interesting blog, with some great crusty stuff on it.
SIMON GANE - done by, well, Simon Gane. He's a cartoonist and illustrator (an artist to make it simple) who did a zine called Arnie back in the 90's, which had a great influence in Croatian punk zines scene (it's design got copied a lot...), and who did excellent comics like "Little Arnie"(Anti State Tortoise rules!!!), "Subvertman" (about a crusty punk who gets his super powers by drinking a case of radioactive cider!) and "The Right On Kids". I like his style of drawing, so if for nothing else, go check it out for a beautiful artwork that can be seen on this blog.
So, that's it for now, I'm planning future post/uploads, but I'm not sure when exactly I will manage to put them up, cos I want to fix everything I've uploaded until now. Hope you'll have patience, try and visit Nečista Savjest occasionally and maybe you'll have a pleasant surprise.
Oh yes, and leaving a comment wouldn't hurt you (I can communicate in English and almost all Ex-Yugoslavian languages) and it would give me a satisfaction of knowing that all this shit I do matters to someone.
